Children’s Dentistry

Sometimes we get comments from parents that they don’t want to get a child’s baby teeth treated or cleaned because they come out as they get older. Well, baby teeth are important to keep until they shed because they keep the spaces for adult teeth to replace. If the baby teeth need to be removed due to cavities and gum diseases, that could cause adult teeth to be impacted under the gum and contribute to crooked teeth. We would also like to check to see if your children are doing a good job brushing and flossing every day. Having good hygiene as children helps to have a good oral hygiene habit in their adulthood. Here are some examples we can offer to help to have healthy oral hygiene for your kiddos.

  • routine exam, teeth cleaning, and fluoride treatment

  • restorative procedures to keep their baby teeth by placing dental fillings, stainless steel crowns, and baby teeth root canals

  • fixed appliance such as thumb sucking appliances, space maintainers, and palatal expanders
